This animated anthology series features original stories set in the worlds of iconic video games. Video games have made the leap to the big screen in a big way, and we’re celebrating the genre with a closer look at over 50 video game adaptations into films and series. Clive Standen will reprise his voice role as Demetrius Titus, the main character of the video game Space Marine Quoted on the Movie Junk Podcast: Episode 973: Carry-On (2024).
They feel like apprenticeships
I have a hard time getting excited about episodes this short, though. You can’t be fully engrossed because you know it’s over before you can even form any kind of connection to the characters. It was nice to see some celebrities involved.
Reeves and Arnie both play entertaining roles
It’s all just a bit too experimental and superficial for me. If I had the opportunity to choose the source material, I probably would have picked a very different selection of games to adore. The Pacman episode was OK, but it was a demonstration of the full extent of artistic license.
6 for the visual effects
At least it made me laugh. Overall, I found the whole series a little disappointing. One Hundred Years of Solitude is one of the biggest TV and streaming premieres this month.
